HELP NEEDED
Volunteers are desperately needed to help run the regional competitions. Please help if you can - whether running a check in desk, typing in results, catering, refereeing, or helping with laying out pistes and stripping them down again.
Please help if you can, if there are not enough volunteers forthcoming, some regional events might have to be cancelled!

The British Senior National Championships were held in RAF Cosford on the weekend of 9th/10th July. There were many excellent results from Southern Fencers - far too many to list here. Full results on this link and a range of pictures on this link
Congrats to Ben White (15th) and Lukas Kuhlmey (22nd) for their results in a field of 82 at the new Mens Epee Open at Upper Heyford. Adrian Pask (Wellesbourne) and Aidan Gant (Solent Swords) were also there upholding the honour of Southern Region! Results can be found here

Three Wellesbourne Sword Club fencers have been chosen to represent GB at the Veterans World Championships in

Child Protection Courses - Now available from the BFA. For best practice, each club should have a Welfare Officer, and if not otherwise qualified - this is the ideal basic course. Click here for more details.
Southern Success Stories. Congrats to Ben White for winning the Scotland LPJS BU15 Epee, and to Ben Peggs for silver medal in the same competition BU15 Foil. Tom Allen did very well to win a BU13 gold at a tough LPJS in Portsmouth. Also congrats to Esther Kuhlmey for 7th in the Inverclyde Open, and brother Lukas for 12th in a strong mens epee field in the same event. If you have success stories to report email results and we will post them here!
